Spring 2006
Is when we both started Springdale Jobcorps Center in Troutdale Oregon. We both did not intend to meet anyone except maybe a friend or two which is how our relationship started. I had moved down to Gresham from Vancouver WA to live with my cousin Nick and his wife Tanya while I went to Job Corps (they had also attended Job Corps and were the reason I went).

Connor and I first bonded over video games. He had been playing the new Godfather game that I wanted to try out but didn't have. I invited him over after our classes at Springdale, after awhile of gaming we decided to grab some dinner. For the next week we hung out after classes, I met his family the first day we hung out, I was most interested in seeing the great Doobie dog he had talked about; since I was missing my dogs I had to take the next best thing. The next week we didn't see each other, but after that we went out to dinner, to The Vista House in the Columbia Gorge, it became our favorite place day or night. We even went down to the Portland Rose Festival however it was way to expensive to get in so we just walked around downtown for awhile then went and found some dinner. We had become best friends, but one day we talked about being more. Some time after that I kissed him on the cheek and our outings became dates then some time after that we were a couple.

That summer was one of the funnest we both had in awhile, we went to the Zoo, Camping with Connor's brother and his fiance and her family, out to the parks in the gorge with Doobie and Nova dog. Fall had come and gone and Tanya announced to me that she was pregnant with her first child. This was a new adventure for them and they were ready to start without housemates. Connor and I were both looking for jobs while living with our parent's, I was doing an internship at WorkSource that turned into a full time job. At the same time he had interviewed for Frito Lay and got the job. By April 2007 we were done with Jobcorps and working full time, we decided to get an apartment together. I found one about 5 minutes form Worksource. We moved in on May 5th It was the cutest little apartment.
